FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
For Double Prong Racks, all three sizes (6", 12", 20") share the same weight capacity and prong strength. The difference is prong length — the 6" keeps tools close to the wall for tight spaces, the 12" is our most popular for standard garages, and the 20" extends further for larger tools and commercial use. Single Prong is currently available in 12" only, with 6" and 20" Single Prong sizes launching soon.
-
All three sizes (6", 12", and 20") have the same weight capacity - they're all built from heavy-duty 1" square steel tubing. Although we have not completed an official weight capacity test, we performed an in-house study and it held over 210 lbs with no sign of bending or breaking. The only difference between sizes is the prong length, which determines how far tools extend from the wall.
-
Each rack comes with pre-drilled mounting holes. Simply locate your wall studs, mark the pilot holes, and fasten with the included mounting hardware. Installation takes just minutes with basic tools.
-
Both use the same 16-gauge American steel and 210+ lb in-house tested capacity. Double Prong cradles long-handled tools BETWEEN two prongs — shovels, rakes, brooms, hoes. Single Prong holds tools that hang from a single hook — extension cords, garden hoses, coiled rope, wire, and D-grip tools like string trimmers. Choose Double Prong for tools with tapered handles; choose Single Prong for anything with a hanging hole or loop.
-
Double Prong racks fit any long-handled tool that sits BETWEEN two prongs — shovels, rakes, brooms, pitchforks, hoes, lawn edgers, snow shovels, push brooms, and any tool with a tapered handle. Single Prong racks fit anything that hangs FROM a single hook — extension cords, garden hoses, coiled rope, wire, air hoses, D-grip trimmers and hedge trimmers, jumper cables, and any tool with a hanging hole or loop. Both use the same heavy-duty 16-gauge American steel and both are in-house tested to over 210 lbs.
