The 20" Single Prong Tool Rack is built for buyers who need heavy, bulky gear off the floor and onto the wall:
Commercial facilities — maintenance rooms, custodial closets, equipment walls
Parks departments and municipalities — hang hoses, cords, and cable in maintenance garages
Facility managers — schools, warehouses, distribution centers, office parks
Contractors — job trailers, work trucks, mobile tool setups
Commercial landscapers — extension cords, coiled hoses, and rope in the trailer
Farms and ranches — barn walls, equipment sheds, tack rooms
Warehouses and industrial shops — keep cords and cables organized on shared walls
Golf course and grounds crews — equipment sheds, cart barns, storage rooms
Large residential garages — the serious home user who needs a heavy-duty wall hook
-
The 20" Single Prong is the largest rack in the lineup — built for hanging bulky items that need more clearance than a 6" or 12" can offer. Twenty inches of open hook space means long extension cords, coiled garden hoses, heavy rope, welding leads, and oversized gear hang freely without bunching up or sliding off.
This is the rack for commercial facilities, municipal shops, and contractors who need a dedicated wall hook that handles weight and bulk. If you're coiling 50-foot extension cords, hanging air hoses, or storing heavy rope and cable — this is the size.
Single prong means one hook point. Items hang from it rather than resting in a cradle. If you need to hold long-handled tools like shovels and rakes, look at the 20" Double Prong Tool Rack instead.

Every tool rack we sell is welded and assembled in Grand Rapids, Michigan. American steel, cut and welded here, powder coated by a local finisher, packed and shipped by the same people who built it. No overseas middlemen, no mystery steel. This one is 1" square tube welded to a 4" x 4" mounting plate — not a stamped hook or a bent rod. It's the same build we've used on every rack we've sold, in a longer reach for the stuff that doesn't fit a standard hook.

Ships via UPS Ground from Grand Rapids, MI. Orders over $100 ship free. Local pickup available at 430 Cummings Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534.
Hardware included for standard wall mounting. For concrete or block walls, use appropriate masonry anchors (not included).

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Prong length. The 12" handles everyday items — extension cords, hoses, coiled rope, and D-grip tools. The 20" gives you extra reach for longer or bulkier loads, or for stacking several items on one prong. Both use the same 1" square tube and the same 4" x 4" mounting plate.
-
Yes. Mount two single prong racks into studs at the width of your ladder's rails and the ladder rests across both. One customer stores a 36-foot extension ladder this way. Each rack is in-house tested to hold over 210 pounds, so a pair carries far more than any ladder weighs.
-
A single prong is one hook — best for anything that hangs naturally from a single point, like cords, hoses, and rope. A double prong uses paired prongs that cradle a handle, which suits shovels, rakes, and other long-handled tools. Most shops end up with both.
-
Yes. The mounting plate is 4" x 4" with two holes sized for a stud. Drywall anchors are not a substitute — the load sits out away from the wall, which puts real leverage on the fasteners.
-
Mounting hardware ships with every rack. No extra trip to the hardware store.
