For wheelchair accessibility, our ADA-compliant tables feature a 24" overhang on one end.

Using the industry standard of 18" of seat space per person:

4 Foot Table: 4 people (or 3 + 1 wheelchair for ADA)

6 Foot Table: 6-8 people (or 5-7 + 1 wheelchair for ADA)

8 Foot Table: 8-10 people (or 7-9 + 1 wheelchair for ADA)

Yes! We offer ADA-compliant picnic tables that meet federal accessibility guidelines. Our ADA models feature a 24-inch tabletop overhang that extends past the bench on one end, providing proper wheelchair clearance. The table height falls within the required 28-34 inch range, and there is at least 27 inches of knee clearance underneath. Note that ADA requirements may vary slightly by state, so we recommend confirming your local specifications.

According to ADA guidelines, if your tables are fixed (surface-mounted or in-ground), at least 5% of tables or a minimum of one must be wheelchair accessible. This applies to each distinct area where picnic tables are located. For example, if you have 20 tables in a park pavilion, at least one must be ADA-compliant. Accessible tables must also be located on an accessible route with 36 inches of clearance surrounding the table.

Surface Mount: The table frame is bolted directly to an existing concrete pad or hard surface using anchor bolts. This is ideal when you have existing concrete and want the flexibility to relocate tables in the future. Installation requires drilling into the concrete surface.

In-Ground Mount: The table legs are embedded directly into the ground with concrete footings, typically 18-24 inches deep. This provides maximum stability and theft deterrence, making it the preferred choice for parks, campgrounds, and public spaces where security is a priority.

Choose Surface Mount if: You have an existing concrete patio or pad, may want to rearrange tables seasonally, or need easier maintenance access.

Choose In-Ground Mount if: You need maximum security against theft or vandalism, the tables will be in grass or unpaved areas, or you want a permanent installation that won't shift over time.
