Without a backrest, it works from either side, takes up less visual space, and fits cleanly into tight architectural footprints. The 20-inch seat depth is noticeably wider than most backless benches in the commercial category — deep enough to be comfortable for a brief rest without turning into lounge furniture.
The 2-inch steel frame is MIG-welded and finished in black powder coat — a more modern look than the traditional glossy finish most commercial benches ship with.
