The Liberty Bench is built for commercial applications where backless seating is the right call and a classic, budget-friendly design fits the space:

• Transit stops and transit centers — bus stops, train platforms, park-and-ride lots

• Shopping malls and plaza walkways — courtyards, food court peripheries, walkway seating

• Event venues and festival grounds — seating for crowd and gathering areas

• Trailheads and park entrances — gear-up benches, rest points at path intersections

• School campuses — outdoor common areas, sports field peripheries, courtyard seating

• Corporate campuses — outdoor meeting points, break-time seating, entry plazas

• Municipal installations — downtown streetscapes, community centers, public plaza seating

• Hospitality and resort grounds — pool decks, tennis court sides, patio walkways

• Zoos, aquariums, and botanical gardens — queue-line benches, exhibit rest stops

• Stadiums and sports complexes — concourse seating, entry gate areas, concession zones

The Liberty Bench is the classic of the Advantage Outdoor Products backless lineup — four 2x3 recycled plastic lumber boards on a 2" square steel frame, in a 6-foot length that seats three adults. It's the straightforward, budget-friendly pick when you need durable public seating without overbuilding.

Like the rest of the Liberty series, this is a backless bench. That's intentional. Backless benches are the go-to choice for transit stops, plaza walkways, event spaces, trailheads, and anywhere people sit briefly rather than settle in. Without a backrest, the bench works from either side, takes up less visual space, and fits into tight architectural footprints where a backed bench would feel bulky.

The frame is 2" square steel tubing, MIG-welded, assembled in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and powder-coated to stand up to UV, rust, and weather. The recycled plastic lumber boards are the same material used across the Advantage Outdoor Products bench lineup — no rotting, no splintering, no annual refinishing, just soap and water for maintenance. The color runs through the full thickness of the plank, so scratches don't show a different color underneath.

Need more seat area in the same footprint? The Double Liberty Bench runs seven boards across a wider frame. Need a backrest? The Caroline Mall Bench, 6ft Leisure Park Bench, and 6ft HD Leisure Park Bench all have backs.

Also called a backless commercial bench, a plaza bench, a backless park bench, or a transit bench — the Liberty covers all of it in one classic, low-maintenance, Michigan-made design.
