Why the 4ft PICNIC TABLE
Not every site needs an 8-foot table — and not every budget needs to pay for one. The 4ft Steel Frame Picnic Table is built for the spaces where a full-size table is too much footprint: campground pads where you're fitting a table, fire ring, and tent on a 20x30 site. Break areas behind a shop where four guys eat lunch. Small park shelters, apartment courtyards, restaurant patios, and trailhead rest stops where you need seating that doesn't dominate the space.
The frame is welded 2" OD round steel tubing, .065" wall — the same construction as our 6ft and 8ft Standard Picnic Tables. Standard black powder-coated finish resists rust, UV fade, and the kind of abuse outdoor furniture takes season after season. The top and bench seats are 100% recycled plastic lumber boards in Cedar or Dark Grey wood grain finishes — maintenance-free, sag-resistant, and built to stay outside permanently without rotting, splintering, or needing a coat of stain every spring.
At 4 feet long it seats four adults comfortably — two per side. That makes it a natural fit for sites where you'd rather place multiple smaller tables than one large one. Three 4ft tables give you flexible seating for 12 across a patio. One 8-footer locks you into a single group layout. For campground operators and facility managers who've dealt with that tradeoff, the compact table usually wins.
The frame arrives pre-drilled with all assembly hardware included. Portable by default — surface mount is also available for permanent installations. Standard lead time is 14 days. Factory-direct from our shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan — no distributor markup, no back-order waiting list. Volume pricing available for orders of 4 or more units.
