Cambridge Picnic Table (specs)
Why the Cambridge Picnic Table?
The 6' Cambridge Picnic Table exists for projects where standard commercial picnic seating doesn't fit the site aesthetic. Corporate campuses. Downtown plazas. Municipal squares. School and university quads. Apartment community common areas. Any space where the project wants the durability of commercial outdoor furniture but the look of architectural site furnishings — not the plank-style A-frame picnic table you see at every park pavilion.
The frame is the difference. Two pedestals welded from 2-1/2" OD square steel tubing — heavier than the 2" OD round-tube spec on standard commercial picnic tables, and a fundamentally different aesthetic. The square-tube multi-pedestal design reads more like architectural site furniture than rec-room picnic seating. Two full 72" benches, both 19" tall, both seating 3-4 adults comfortably for a total of 6-8 seats.
Everything else is the same AOP build standard: 100% recycled plastic lumber on the top and seats (minimum 95% recycled content, zero annual maintenance, will not rot or splinter), black powder-coat finish on the steel frame, welded at our Grand Rapids shop. Pre-drilled and shipped with a full bolt package and assembly instructions. Surface-mount installation on a concrete pad with anchor hardware (sold separately). Standard 14-day lead time. Bulk pricing is available for school district, municipal, and government projects.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Frame aesthetic and spec. The HD Picnic Table uses 2-3/8" OD welded steel pipe in a traditional plank-style picnic table layout — built for high-traffic rest areas and heavy-use commercial sites. The Cambridge uses 2-1/2" OD square steel tubing in a multi-pedestal architectural layout — built for institutional sites where the look matters as much as the build.
-
Frame spec and aesthetic. The Standard Picnic Table uses 2" OD round steel tubing in a traditional plank-style picnic table design. The Cambridge uses heavier 2-1/2" OD square steel tubing in a multi-pedestal architectural design — same recycled plastic top and powder-coat finish, different frame.
-
Yes. The 6' ADA Cambridge Picnic Table uses the same frame and materials but replaces one bench with a 36" shortened bench for wheelchair clearance. Same Cambridge build, ADA-compliant layout.
